Because I have to travel such great distance in my car from rural Idaho to Spokane for the doctors of my choosing, I spend a lot of time singing and worshiping along the way with Positive Life Radio Station and various soundtracks I may have in my car.
My worship is a form of prayer and intercession that moves the mountain of medical hurdles. When I identify a song that witnesses with my spirit, such as the one below I ultimately purchase it and practice the music to do as a special song for church. I must say I am grateful for my voice teacher, Beth, who also is a fellow-believer in Christ Jesus. It has only been less than 2 years that I have had any help in voice lessons. She has been there for me after every surgery. Singing has been a great part of the healing process. I certainly haven’t arrived at vocal perfection but I do feel the words “Well done, good and faithful servant” ringing in my spirit from the Great Heavenly Musician God Himself!
Through the trials of pain and sleepless nights and waiting for answers on my medical journey, I’ve cried unto my Lord in singing the song “Blessings”, the Grammy Award Winning #1 Song by Laura Story, and by reading her devotional “What if your BLESSINGS Come Through Raindrops?”.
The lyrics below the video resonate my story. I have faced and conquered medical fears along with singing solos in front of others.
Here is my Pro-Active Faith now given to the internet world. MAY GOD BLESS AND TOUCH IN SOME SPECIAL WAY EVERYONE THAT VIEWS THIS WEBSITE! In Christ’s Service, Kim
Lyrics to song “Blessings” by Laura Story
We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things
‘Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we have faith to believe
‘Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It’s not our home
‘Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the achings of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise.
